All our unit doses are carried by tungsten pigs to provide better shielding for our customers. Tungsten shields are first introduced by us 4 years ago and proved to be more efficient in shielding. 0.48cm thick tungsten is equivalent to 1.00cm lead at 150keV.

Lead is ranked number two on the U.S. Government's Top 20 Hazardous Substances Priority List. As we are all aware, lead is toxic to human, creates environmental concerns for disposal and contaminates soil and water. Lead's popularity is mainly due to its physical property: high density. Most companies are using lead containers due to its low cost.

However, tungsten is a suitable material for lead replacement applications. It has an even higher density than lead and it is proven to be non-toxic and more durable. Unnecessary radiation dose absorbed will be much lowered due to better shielding.

We are the only radiopharmacy equipped with a class 10,000 clean room to provide safe and sterile radiopharmaceuticals.
